“The Kissing Tree”

P”The Kissing Tree” is inspired by my love for abstract art and the images that can be seen by looking at it from various angles and times. For each the end result is varied.

I have created this artwork and I see two abstract figures kissing and it reminded me of a tree where we used to climb and it was known as the kissing tree.  To our parents and peers this may have been a frightful concept but there were guards and unless you were chosen to go up there to kiss you were not allowed in! It was a really big thing for our early school years innocent play and first loves that were on and off again all in the space of the lunch break!

This painting is a reminder that in the creative space we can become be lost in time. It can invoke memories from long ago as our sub-conscious is at play, art is healing and is what I hope to inspire in the observer – a sense of peace, happiness and an ignition of imagination to be set free.
